Insulated Log Home Advantage

  1. Logs do not shrink. Full stacked gable options can be added without any concern for settling or shrinking.
  2. Checks and splits are virtually eliminated.
  3. Logs are available in a mixed species option. Red Cedar exterior with a Pine interior as an example.
  4. Logs weigh less than 1/2 the weight of a traditional log for the same size. This saves on structural reinforcing on large diameter logs and also saves on freight costs.
  5. Structural core logs and solid log corners can be included where needed for looks or structural requirements. These logs are identical in appearance to the insulated log they are used with.
  6. Interior & exterior finishes will have an extended life. There is virtually no moisture in the wood to lift the finish. Lower maintenance; No unsightly splits & checks.
  7. The 8 inch insulated log products exceed the revised Federal energy code for all designated climate zones in the US. The 10 & 12 inch products greatly exceed the new standards.
  8. Large logs can be made using smaller trees giving a much higher utilization rate for the timber.
